Under the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI’s) Water Supply and Sanitation Infrastructure Improvement Programme (WSSIIP),De Gea Soccer Jersey, expressions of interest were opened for consultants to implement the programme at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB),Anthony Martial Manchester United Jersey, yesterday.The consultants will be in charge of developing and implementing the selection criteria for beneficiaries of the proposed improved sanitary facilities in the identified areas.GWI has expressed certainty that the process will be a transparent and fair one, and will be in keeping with the programme’s objectives in selecting the beneficiaries. Some of the sums will also go towards paying for goods, works and services that will be procured under the WSSIIP.The WSSIIP was one of two agreements that were signed between the Government of Guyana and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in 2014, with the other being for improving power supply. The agreements totaled US$96M.There were also bids for consultants for the Management Strengthening Programme (MSP),Cheap China Shoes Wholesale, as part of the Guyana Power and Light (GPL)’s Power Utility Upgrade Programme.Like the WSSIIP, this programme was financed by the IDB, with the general objective being to boost GPL’s performance by providing ongoing training, coaching and support to seniors in areas such as financial?operations, system planning, procurement and transmissionThe training was also expected to encompass distribution, loss reduction, tariff?planning, network maintenance and billing, among others.The MSP will?comprise a mix of classroom-based training as well as practical on the job training with one-on one coaching to address the unique learning and development needs of GPL’s senior?management.Bids were also opened on behalf of the Ministry of the Presidency, for persons to submit expressions of interest to develop a revised National Opt-in mechanism and conduct a pilot process.Under the Ministry of Public Security, there was also a retender for the provision of consultancy services to support implementing a training programme for the Guyana Police Force.
