Suriname authorities say that they have dealt the illegal drug trade in that country a hard blow with the arrest of four persons and seizure of almost 100 kilos of cocaine in the Netherlands.Investigators also believe that the smugglers used Guyana as one of the alternative routes.According to news reports from Suriname yesterday, on Sunday last, drug enforcement officials in the Netherlands made the seizure.On Monday night, the Netherlands and Suriname conducted joint operations, making several arrests.In Suriname, persons connected to a harbour facility were among those detained in the operations.
